Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)- Men armed with grenades raided at a place where Somali government soldiers take illegal money from public bus drivers using the route between Sana intersection and Bakara bazaar, the biggest shopping center in the capital Mogadishu.
These unknown armed men attacked the Somali government soldiers stationed at Sinai junction unaware collecting money.
Two civilians passing by were wounded in the blast and one of them is gravely injured said eyewitness told insidesomalia website.
After the blast the government soldiers opened heavy fire, but caused no damage to the population in the surrounding. The activities in the neighborhood halted for some minutes but reopened later.
On the other hand the Ethiopia troops on tour of duty found buried land mine at Maka Al-Mukarama Street and detonated it, and for a brief time they have cordoned off the street but reopened afterwards.
It is not the first time for the Somali government soldiers’ and their Ethiopian acquaintances to come across grenade attacks and even face-to-face raids, which generally the victims are the innocent civilians who are not involved in the brawling parts.
